Dennis Nolan has 25 years of experience in biosafety and BSL-3 operations. He holds a BS in Biology and Masters degrees in Public Health and Health Science. Dennis worked for 9 years at the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Laboratories as a clinical microbiologist and was promoted to administrator of their microbiology section that included tuberculosis and anthrax testing. He also worked for 14 years at The University of Texas at Austin where he served as biosafety officer for the Institutional Biosafety Committee and managed the university’s BSL-3 laboratory. Dennis is currently the Director of Environmental Health and Safety at Baylor University. He is a Certified Biosafety Professional (CBSP) with the American Biological Safety Association and past president of the Southern Biosafety Association.
